Judy Nunn arrived in Sydney from Perth at the age of nineteen and worked in Australian Radio
at the very end of the fabulous era that boasted such shows as Doctor Paul,
When a Girl Marries, and Blue Hills.
After performing in the hugely successful JC Williamson theatre production of The Odd Couple

She also worked on BBC Radio and appeared in the classic television series of that period The Onedin Line and Z Cars. When she returned to Australia, Judy went straight into the national tour of David Williamson’s hit play Don’s Party and not long after was offered the role of Vicky Stafford in the famous Crawford television show, The Box. Judy was a Gold Logie nominee for this role. Then followed by seasons as a leading actress for the Melbourne Theatre Company, Sydney’s Old Tote Theatre Company and the Queensland Theatre Company. Judy’s television experience is also vast. Long running roles in The Box, Sons & Daughters, Prisoner and guest appearance in many others, and for thirteen years she was a household name as ‘Ailsa’ in the internationally acclaimed Home & Away. Judy was also a popular panellist on Channel 10’s Beauty and the Beast and was honoured by Channel 9’s This Is Your Life. As a writer Judy has also had international success.
